Building the future workforce of culturally sensitive caregivers
In the U.S., the number of board-certified lactation consultants of color does not reflect the diversity of the perinatal population. We aim to make it easier for candidates who have been historically underrepresented in the field to join the profession and for more new parents to receive culturally sensitive care.
How it works
Pacify partners with health plans and public health organizations to build scholarship programs that:
- Reach aspiring IBCLCs of color within the communities they serve;
- Award scholarships to select applicants; and
- Support applicants on their journey to become infant feeding experts.
