How can a doula help me during my pregnancy?

Do I need any special equipment for virtual sessions?
No special equipment is needed. You can join your virtual sessions right from your phone!
Can I choose the same doula for all my sessions?
Yes, you have the option to choose the same doula for all your sessions to ensure comfort and a consistent support experience.
How do I schedule a session with a doula or lactation consultant?
Simply download the Pacify app and create an account. Visit the Schedule tab to match with your doula and begin scheduling appointments. To schedule with a lactation consultant, simply visit the Schedule tab.
Is there a limit to how many sessions I can have?
In addition to supporting you through labor and delivery, your doula will be available for 2 visits during pregnancy and 1 visit after delivery. You can schedule these sessions at any time during your pregnancy and after delivery.
Are the calls with doulas and IBCLCs confidential?
Absolutely. Your privacy and safety are our top priorities. All calls with doulas and lactation consultants are confidential, providing a safe space for you to discuss your needs and concerns.
What if I need to reschedule or cancel a session?
You can easily reschedule or cancel a session in the Pacify app with the click of a button. If you need to cancel an appointment within 24 hours of scheduled session, chat your care coordinator to let them know.
How can an IBCLC help me?
A lactation consultant provides support and advice through video chats. They can help with infant feeding questions and concerns, all from the comfort of your home.
