West Virginia DHHR Announces Pacify Program

Pacify is proud to partner with West Virginia's Department of Health and Human Resources, now providing 24/7 breastfeeding support for participants of the West Virginia Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants and Children (WIC).

“Our goal is to provide nutrition and breastfeeding services and information that empower individuals and keep West Virginia families healthy,” said Dr. Catherine Slemp, State Health Officer and Commissioner of DHHR’s Bureau for Public Health. “Currently, West Virginia WIC serves nearly 35,000 mothers and young children monthly. With the Pacify app, we can now offer around-the-clock live support to help WIC moms breastfeed.”


ABOUT West Virginia Department of Health and Human Resources (DHHR) 

The DHHR provides a wide range of necessary and life-saving services to many West Virginia residents.  DHHR is comprised of the Bureau for Behavioral Health; Bureau for Child Support Enforcement; Bureau for Children and Families; Bureau for Medical Services; Bureau for Public Health; Office of Inspector General; and West Virginia Children’s Health Insurance Program (WV CHIP). DHHR provides services in all 55 counties through a dedicated staff of nearly 6,000 individuals.
